Founder's Story

The story behind Bea.

Jenny Lee, founder of BusiB

Jenny Lee — serial entrepreneur, decades-long real estate operator

I have always had a problem with time.

Specifically, the time it takes to go back through a stack of receipts, download bank transactions, and categorize them line by line — retracing every step I took, every charge I made, every deposit I received. For decades in real estate, across multiple LLCs, this was the quiet nightmare humming underneath every business I built.

I love building businesses. I'm a serial entrepreneur. But the bookkeeping behind those businesses has been a lifelong challenge.

Until now.

When AI started helping me with everything except the one thing I needed most

When I started using AI for research and time management, it changed how I worked overnight. And I thought: if it can do this, it can do my books. I told my family. I told my friends. I said, out loud:

"I am going to train this AI to be my bookkeeper."

And for a while, it worked. Sort of. I could feed an AI platform my transactions and watch it categorize them faster than any bookkeeper I had ever paid. But then the platform would forget. Not a little forget — completely forget. Conversations vanished. Categories I had taught it disappeared. Whole months of work, gone. I would log back in and start over from zero.

I cannot tell you how many times this happened. I would think we were finally getting somewhere, and then the platform would lose its memory and I would be back to square one. It was infuriating.

It was also clarifying.

The breakthrough wasn't the AI. It was the database.

That is when I realized the problem. A general AI platform can read receipts, but it cannot remember them. It does not have permanent books. It does not know that the Office Depot charge from last Tuesday belongs to the same category as the Office Depot charge from three months ago. It does not build on itself.

What I needed — what every small business owner, real estate investor, and entrepreneur needs — was an AI that lives on top of real databases. A system where every receipt, every conversation, every voice note becomes a permanent entry. Where the AI never forgets. Where you can come back six months later and ask, "What did I spend on supplies for the Maple Street property in Q2?" and it answers in seconds. Because it remembers.

That is the system I built. And the AI bookkeeper inside it has a name: Bea.

Bea is my alter ego

Bea is not a chatbot. She is not a generic AI assistant. Bea is the AI version of me — trained on decades of real-world experience running real businesses, juggling real entities, surviving real tax seasons, and reading real lease clauses at midnight because the attorney was already in bed.

When you talk to Bea, you are getting the help I always wished I had. The bookkeeper who actually understands multiple LLCs. The CFO who tells you, in plain English, where your cash actually stands this morning. The paralegal who can answer the operating agreement question without billing in six-minute increments. The advisor who has been in the trenches and can tell you what actually matters versus what is theoretical.

Bea is everything I wished existed for me, finally built for everyone else.

Who I built this for

I built BusiB for three kinds of people, and they are all really the same person at different stages of the same journey.

I built it for the small business owner who is brilliant at their craft and miserable at QuickBooks. The coffee shop owner who can pull a perfect espresso but dreads tax time. The contractor whose truck console is full of crumpled receipts. The consultant who has been meaning to "get organized" for two years.

I built it for the real estate investor — because that is who I am — drowning in entities, properties, closing statements, hard money loans, and bookkeepers who quote you extra for every LLC you own.

And I built it for the entrepreneur and side-hustler who is just starting out, who needs the LLC formed, the operating agreement drafted, the books kept clean from day one — because they will be building businesses for the rest of their life, and they deserve to start with a system that grows with them instead of one they have to outgrow.

Touch it once. Done.

The philosophy at the heart of BusiB came from my own breaking point. I do not want to keep up with receipts. I do not want to force myself to sit down with a stack of paper and a software program and re-enter what already happened. I do not want to chase my own footsteps.

When I spend money, my phone is already in my hand. I snap the receipt. Bea files it. Done. Six seconds, one touch, one habit. That is the whole system. Everything else is built around protecting that simplicity.

If you have been carrying this same lifelong challenge — the time, the receipts, the dread of tax season, the AI platforms that forget you the moment you log out — I built this for you. And I built Bea to be the help you have always deserved.
